| Both Gamefly and Gamestop have it listed for June 1, 2010. I don't know how official that is though. | |

| Awesome. Will be pre-ordering tomorrow when I pick up GOW3 for sure. As I always pre-order through Gamestop I guess I'll be getting the Kratos Kart. Very cool.
Its a lot sooner than I thought and that is awesome. So many amazing games this year.

| Tried the demo. It's alright but it didn't really hook me like Mariokart. | |

| This is better than Mariokart to me just in the actual gameplay aside from all the numerous customizations and unlockables. You have to actually play defense when racing by drifting and or dropping minds, and blocking attacks. For the most part...if you have it completely down...you don't have to launch an offensive of weapons to win, and can win by just playing defense, if you figure out when to use the defensive measures.
Another thing I like about this is, you have to play the campaign mode in order to unlock everything for your customizations. It's promoting playing the game by yourself, oppose to LBP where you could play online and get whatever one person got. It's pretty impossible to get all the prize requirements (1st set, 2nd set, & third set) along with, along with the 5 hidden tokens on each map, to purchase things in vending machines, the first go round....with not even knowing the turns and what's on the map. So you'll basically have to do each map twice at least...and that's if you're really nice. They thought the gameplay out, and the AI is pretty good too b/c if you have a lead for the most part and are getting ready to win...9 times out of 10 you'll get attacked before crossing the finish line. lol Hopefully you have enough boost for a last minute block, or turbo to hit the finish line once attacked.
I liked the demo...but it did the game no justice, especially the racing part.
There's still some kinks they need to iron out with updates, but so far from spending damn near 12hours on it the first day...this will definitely be a PSN greatest hits edition. When? I don't know. lol

| Yeah the game is awesome. Biggest complaint I have right now is the load times but I'm sure they'll work that out and its not unbearable. I can appreciate being able to chat without interruption in the game and I didn't experience any lag at all. I guess my only other complaint is not being able to play with international friends. I have a lot of friends in EU and it won't let you play with them which is lame.
But its awesome - the racing is crazy fun
