| Mag is by far one of the best first person online shooters i have played and it is only in beta. It has its faults but i see this replacing warhawk as Sony's #1 online game. I am in the beta and i find myself with the same addiction to it that i had with warhawk. I am already wondering what am i going to play for a month when they cancel the beta saturday morning at midnight. It is complicated at first but so was warhawk. A complicated game is that much harder to pick up on but has the potential to do so much more once the players develop the skill and knowledge and utilize it. The gameplay and community is where mag is at its strongest long waits to connect to 256 players is one of the biggest down sides. But in the defense of this wait when you see that many players in one game shooting at each other pick your jaw up off the floor and you will surely think that wait is worth it. Do yourselfs a favor and check out mag i think that it could possibley be sony's wildcard. @Nate --- Slower then MW2? Exlplain yourself.. Cause the gameplay of this game is hectic, merciless, and almost always down to the last minute before either team knows who is going to win. I could use a lot of terms to describe Mags gameplay and SLOW wouldn't be anywhere on that list. | |

| what i mean by slow was the speed at which you play. such as the queue, the speed at which the character reacts to your controls,
oh yeah what's with the training being locked.... i have no idea how to play....

| I still probably get it though. Had the beta. Didn't even play it but for only 10 or 15 minutes then I had to drop it. Didn't appeal to me. | |

| lmao.... Room for growth I take it. I like the concept of MAG...especially with this being the first true MMO. You already know what turns me off from it though. Just imagine it being in 3rd Person...with ALL THOSE PEOPLE online. ~Goodz~ | |

| if they could get it to where 256 people were actually playing in the same arena at the same time i would think that this would be worth while, however it's a turn based thing if you break it down to it's basic form now isn't it??? It's like a chess game where each little piece makes up it's own mind to what it's supposed to be doing, now before you go and correct me on this assumption, first realize that they have yet to actually place a proper chain of command structuring into this game each battle is based on how well each individual cell actually functions in it's own fight( per turn ), to me this makes the game fall way short of what PS3 has been basing all of their ( based on all of the hype ) hopes on. the lacking graphics along with depending on other untried teammates who're more often than not, the weakest links, which in a true strategist's hands, an extraordinary advantage, yet until they get it right will always be a disadvantage...... | |

| I'm tired of buying Multiplayer games only to see them fizzle in 2 months and then on to the next one. I doubt I'll be buying any more of them unless they have a single-player option that I'm excited about or unless I see them withstanding a few months. Warhawk is still the only multi-player based game that I can play for hours at a time and not get bored. MW2's spec ops are way more fun than the multiplayer. MW2...bored after 2 games.... Killzone 2...bored after two games... Uncharted 2... bored after 2 games. There has yet to be anything unique. Adding 200+ players doesn't make a game unique IMO it just makes for a chaotic FPS. I thought the Beta was terrible. Graphics terrible. Gameplay was nothing new that every other FPS has done. This is just my opinion though Modnation Racers will probably be the next multi-player optioned game I purchase. Maybe Army of Two for co-op. | |

| Thing is that Killzone and Uncharted are single player games. The online is just an accessory. MW2 is also but after the success of the online of the last one, it became an even bigger part of the game, outweighing the single player and co-op aspects. I have to disagree with you; the single player and co-op is boring. I only got the game for the online. Even though it is starting to become somewhat boring to me. MAG is doing many things other FPS's haven't done besides 256 players, for instance the squads and rankings. There aren't very many multiplayer games coming out that I'm going to get until Super Street Fighter. The only exceptions would be Battlefield and Blur. And Super doesn't come out until April so I'm not really at any loss. It's the only multiplayer based game that I would have bought since Warhawk. It only makes sense that MAG is going to do something that none of the other games have. No need to be disappointed in those games when the multiplayer is just an option. | |

| Understandably with those games I listed, as they're single-player games first... even still... I don't think MAG will hold out. I could be wrong. I just don't see it having a real staying power. Will people still be playing it 2 years from now? Is the multi-player exciting enough to outdo the crappy graphics and crappy controls?? Will there be true organization in a server with 256 people?
I'm just not jumping to get this one like I usually do. You'll have to let me know what you think altogether after you get...and have played a while. Still highly doubtful that I'll buy into it...and seeing that I wasn't impressed with the Beta and I'm not sure how much they could change to change my mind.
And I can understand not having high expectations for UC2 or Killzone 2 but MW2 shoulda been the most exciting thing next to god... and it fizzled real quick for me. And I'm not kidding anyone...it takes me FOREVER to get decent at a game... so its hard work for me and if the game isn't fun/exciting for a long while I get bored and I never get really good... it took me over a year get to AVERAGE at Warhawk LOL
Anyway this got real long real quick. I'm just saying I don't see it being this super awesome thing that they're making it out to be.
