Okay, our prayers have been answered and there will be a fully fledged sequel to SFIV. There's lots of info out there right now, and there's a lot more to come. What's we have now is:
AT LEAST 8 added characters, so far it's T. Hawk, Dee Jay, and a newcomer Juri who're confirmed. There will be 2-3 characters from Third Strike and Alpha and another newcomer besides Juri. Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Cody, Guy and Adon are the rumored ones to return. The other new guy is named Hakan, he's an middle eastern grappler! Juri is the first Korean fighter in SF history and her discipline is Tae Kwon Do.
Some form or lobbies and/or spectator mode similar to MVC2 and SSFRHD will be added.
ALL characters will be tweaked and up or downgraded in some areas to add more balance to the game.
There will be an added second Ultra, making it one Super and two Ultras. It's unsure whether the Ultra's will be selectable like Third Strike or not, but the commands will not overlap. So it may be possible that both will be available at once.
Focus Attacks will be tweaked a small bit and multiple hits may be possible. It's not confirmed as to whther this will be on offense or defense.
The old school bonus stages will be back. You guys remember beating up the car and hitting the barrels in the arcades back in the day?
There are too many changes and additions to the game for this to be a simple DLC update, so this will be a full disc release. And being that there are so many changes they could'nt be a Turbo or Championship edition. And being that this is a major update, the game WON'T be fully priced. Expect a $30-$50 pricepoint.
You won't need the original disc to play this game, but Capcom said they have a special treat for people that hold onto the disc. I'm thinking additional costumes.
All characters will be unlocked.
There will be a new announcer and so far no one likes him, LOL.
There will be new storylines, intros and endings for everyone.
There will be a new title song, thank God!

Capcom had Fight Club in NYC to demo SSFIV. Thegame is still being tweaked and worked on, so hit boxes, damage, range and speeds may be a bit different when released. The game is still raw, but this gives you an idea of what to inspect. Capcom will be holding Fight Clubs in other cities as well.

"Tournament Mode details • A Tournament Mode will be available as DLC (downloadable content) some time after the game is released — it won't be on the disc itself.
• This mode will support up to 8 players, plus an additional person — the tournament organizer. Everyone will be able to voice chat.
• The results will be visually displayed. It's not stated how at this time, but it's likely going to be a tournament bracket so you can follow the progress or see how previous rounds played out.
• Matches from the tournament can be saved and viewed.
• Tournament winners can be given special titles by the organizer.
Endless Battle details — Quarter Match • Supports up to 8 players in an endless tournament mode.
• Winner faces the next opponent and the loser goes to the back of the line to wait their turn.
• You can switch your character between rounds if you win.
• Players who are waiting for their turn can voice chat with each other.
Team Battle details • Supports up to 8 players with a maximum of two teams each. The teams are broken up by color, blue for team 1 and red for team 2.
• Teams can be even or uneven. Even matches like 2 vs 2, 4 vs 4, or uneven couplings like 2 vs 6, 3 vs 5, etc.
• Players who aren't fighting will watch the current battle and can voice chat with each other.
• Teams can be created manually, or you can have the game automatically pick teams based on ranking statistics to try and keep things even.
• Once the teams have been decided, you can set the order of who goes first, last, etc., or leave it up to the game to decide.
• If you use the request feature, you can play Arcade mode while you wait for other players to show up.
• Specific players can be invited to be on your team.
Replay Channel details • You gather replays here to view them later.
• This service uses categories that divide everything up. Some of the current categories are Origin, Random, New Face and Boss areas. Other functions include New Replay, Battle Log, My Channel and My List options.
• The My List feature lets you download matches to your HDD.
Here's a few more details on the Replay Channel courtesy of Jigsaw.
This is the mode that Taguchi and his engineers have been working on harder than anything else!
You've all been requesting "We want to watch match replays!", and here is our response - a new ground-breaking feature following the Arcade Request, a mode where you can watch match replays with (almost) no limits!
As you're fighting, round up a collection of replays. Afterwards, watch them with one hand in your bag of potato chips, just as if you're watching TV.
In this mode, there are several different channels, so if you feel like "I just want to see matches with boss characters!" or "I just want to see matches with the new characters!" you can narrow down your search to whatever you want to watch. In addition, you can save your favourite replays to your "My list" channel and just watch those.
The "My list" is just for you... but the replays in all other channels will be shared with all the players across the world, so please enjoy watching them together while voice chatting!
This is all I've got on the new online modes.
It'll be awesome! So awesome! And a huge pain to debug!
Readers with a keen eye have spotted the following details from Japanese video.
• From 59 to 60 seconds a frame-by-frame analysis seems to show Ryu doing his Shinshoryuken Super Art from Street Fighter 3 Third Strike or Metsu-Shoryuken from Alpha (2nd screen from the left, top row). This seems to confirm yet again that the characters will have two Ultra moves.
• Mike Haggar can be seen on a billboard in the background on the car bonus stage. This may simply be a nod to Final Fight where the stage is originally from, or it could imply that Cody and Guy are in the game as previous rumors have suggested.
Car Bonus Stage details • The car bonus stage works like it has in past Street Fighter games. Destroy as much of it as you can within time limit for points. Completely destroying the vehicle within the time frame nets you a 'Perfect'.
• This bonus stage can be played in Arcade mode or in Challenge mode.
• You start to destroy the car by hitting one door and then jumping over and taking out the other one, then the roof and then finally finishing it off by attacking the body.
• After beating the bonus stages, there's an option to disable them in Arcade mode.
Barrel Bonus Stage details • Again this works much like it did in Street Fighter 2. The barrels can strike you and knock you off your feet.
• Your Super Combo is apparently available on this bonus stage.
• This one is more challenging than the other(!?) bonus games."
"The French site JeuxVideo.fr interviewed Super Street Fighter 4's producer, Yoshinori Ono about the upcoming game. Here's an overview of what was discussed.
• Ono wants an arcade version, but the market size is so small in most places (Japan was included in this statement) — it may not be feasible to release it that way. If an arcade release does happen, it will apparently take place after the console versions have hit.
• The development staff has heard numerous criticisms about how powerful the characters are, or aren't, and they're trying to rebalance things accordingly.
• While the properties for some special moves will be changing, the way they're executed (commands) will not be. Ono makes a point of stating that some EX moves were tweaked.
• Some characters will be receiving new special moves.
• Ultras will continue to be direct-damage attacks. You won't see a move like Yun's Genei-Jin as an Ultra or something along those lines because it doesn't fit with the 'Revenge Theme'.
• Ono doesn't state outright that there's a second Ultra per character, but he mentions that they're taking an in-depth look at the current Ultras and tweaking them according. He goes on to state that there will be a new small strategic element to Ultra moves.
• The Focus Attack system will not change, but the properties (frame data) will be tweaked for a few characters.
• After Capcom released Street Fighter 4, people were upset at the small amount of stages and that there weren't character-specific levels. This was due to the time constraints but Ono states the team is hard at work on this aspect for Super Street Fighter 4.
• Cross platform play is not something Capcom can do without the help of the console makers. He said if this is something the fans want, they need to contact Sony/Microsoft.
• Yoshinori said he was disappointed by the latest King of Fighters game, but if given the chance he would gladly work on a new Capcom vs. SNK title."

Okay we've got NEW CHARACTER CONFIRMATIONS!
So far that new character rumor list thats been circulating the net the last few months is turning out to be true.
"Two scans from Famitsu magazine in Japan have popped up on the internet showing Guy, Cody and Adon in Super Street Fighter 4. These characters look very close to their Street Fighter Alpha counterparts with Cody still sporting a jail outfit, handcuffs and a knife. Ibuki from SF Third Strike confirmed? Niga Bridges pointed out that in the first image in the bottom right corner, Guy is hitting back a kunai (dagger) and a translation of the text by Benichon also confirms this is what's happening. A kunai is the weapon Ibuki uses, which is a strong hint that she will be in the game."

Some of you guys that gave up on SF should really try to take it a little more seriously this go round. With lobbies and team battles, it may keep you on a little more. There's only a few in the clan that play the game seriously and it would be a lot more fun if more people played. It doesn't take too long to become decent. I willing to practice and do lessons with anyone that wants to play.

What really blows about this you know? Is the fact that when we got this last spring it felt like it was shorted somewhat, like they had held back, now games from inception to shelf is quite the long time, and for them to be rolling this out so quickly after the first one is suspicous if you ask me, the graphics are no better. they are on par with the first one, and after carefully looking at these new charectors i know that we got jipped by the corporate fat cats who're lining their pockets with our addictions, fuckin pricks

LMAO, it's not what your thinking Gen. See what happened is that Capcom was very apprehensive about doing a new Street Fighter title, because SF III: 3rd Strike was a commercial letdown. See, 3S was a highly technical and defensive SF, and if you were good, you could murder the average player with damn near any character. And we live in an age where the average gamer is pussy and wants everything to be easy, the "pick up and play" mentality has hurt gaming almost s much as it's helped it, IMO. Games are too easy to master nowadays and the average fanboy beats them way too easily. Us older guys know that games were a challenge back in the days, on top of not having game saves, guides and DLC. ^ But anyways, 3S is arguably the greatest fighter ever and is still played today, but didn't sell well outside of the hardcore community. So Capcom just stopped making new SF games altogether. They wrongly assumed that the public just didn't want SF games anymore and the franchise ran it's course. What it was, is that most people just wanted a new SF without the technical defensive tactics (parrying). So 3S came out in damn '99 and they haven't released anything since until now! Many game developers are stupid and out of touch more often then not. ^ It took the urging of current SFIV producer, Yoshi Ono to get a new title made, because again we all wanted a new SF game and were really thirsty because we didn't get one for a DECADE. So when they made SFIV they had a somewhat limited budget and timeframe to get it out. So certain aspects like lobbies, custom tournaments, team battles and a few new characters had to be left out. IV dropped, it was a smash hit and now Capcom is back in SF mode. So with Super, they wanted to include everything they couldn't in the first game and give us some bonuses. This one is dropping so soon because they started working on this one right after IV dropped. ^ 10 new characters, instead of just two, (T. Hawk and Dee Jay were the only ones developed for IV and scrapped, everyone else is brand new), new alternate costumes, new cutscenes and endings, five new levels, custom soundtracks for every character like back in the days, the return of bonus levels and rebalancing of the entire roster. Initially they wanted to release it as a DLC upgrade, but they're adding way too much, so they have to make Super disc-based. So this isn't and a sequel per say, but it's way more than a simple upgrade. Honestly, I'd pay the full $60, but at a cheaper price, I'd say were getting a steal for everything they're adding. Remember way back in the days when SSFII dropped, and all we got was four new characters and improved graphics and had to pay full price.

Ibuki and Dudley are rumored to be top tier, and Makoto is mid, she's always been for experts only.
Hakan is revealed on Wednesday.
I read that Elena JUST missed the cut for Super, so she's pretty much a shoe in for the third SFIV! She's the only character that uses only kicks, a nice compliment to the boxers. At least a couple of years off, but good to know.
